Ten Foundational Beliefs
In essentials unity. In nonessentials liberty. In all things charity.
Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
Trinity
We believe that God exists as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son conceived by the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary (Luke 1:31).
Salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ came to save the lost (Luke 19:10).
Baptism
We believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit of those who have expressed their faith in Christ (Matthew 28:19).
Communion
We believe in communion as a remembrance of Christ's suffering and a proclamation of our oneness through Him (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
Holy Spirit
We believe in being filled with the Holy Spirit and the accompanying gifts of the Spirit (Acts 2:1-4).
Second Coming
We believe in the personal and visible return of Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
Judgment
We believe in the final judgment when all mankind will give an account to God (Revelation 20:11).
Heaven
We believe in the new heaven and new earth when God makes all things new (Revelation 21:4-5).
